We are indeed GREAT-full that so many family and friends have 'got our back.' Special thanks to Nana and Poppa for kid-wrangling in Coloma. Can't wait to see the new lavendar paint in the girls' bathroom!

PS- clearly i am not editing what thoughts leak out of the puddinWriter and into his blog... nowadays he even has conversations with people that are not in the hospital room- it is somewhat disconcerting.... but the bird reference he made in his post is a favorite Monty Python pick: Quest for the Holy Grail. Here is the dialogue:
SOLDIER: "What? A swallow carrying a coconut?
KING ARTHUR: It could grip it by the husk!
SOLDIER: It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut.
KING ARTHUR: Well, it doesn't matter. Will you go and tell your master that Arthur from the Court of Camelot is here?
SOLDIER: Listen. In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings forty-three times every second, right?
KING ARTHUR: Please!
SOLDIER: Am I right?

Spence and I had fun reminiscing over that movie quote just now.... thanks for your letters, cards, emails, movies, etc. We really appreciate all your communication!
Sarah

...a little funky spelling, maybe a few muddled thoughts...hey, so what, right ???...

...sometimes in life there are more important things, like just being in the "here & now" & getting healthy...

...obviously, no one realizes quite like you, what a long hard road it's been & while it ain't over yet, i couldn't imagine a more solid group backing up you, sarah & your girls...

...so, no matter what stage you're at in this process, just WIN, SPENCER...

Hi Spence!

You are amazing! I hope you're enjoying KT time and that the ol' boca is getting better. You are in our thoughts daily, and we love seeing the girls and Sarah at school. Whenever you're ready I'm heading down to give you a massage. The American River Music festival is this weekend and the temperatures are gorgeous for it - no rain in the forecast!

Sending you all kinds of love,
Heather, Tom, Jordan and Sawyer

Spencee-
Thinking of you every day. You have got so much to fight for- We can't wait to have you back here in Coloma. Generate those WBCs and tell that infection to BEAT IT! I have this book called the Birthday Book and here are a few excerpts from September 9.
"The typical virgin born on this day is a warrior with the heart of a poet. Your intellect and practicality, combined with the intuition and imagination of the #9's vibration, provide you with your scientific mind and artistic temperment. Your courage and adventurous spirit give you the wherewithal to confront any challenge or undertake any crusade." Sounds about right to me! There's more, but know that Hugh Grant, Michael Keaton, Adam Sandler, Otis Redding, and Roger Waters share your new birthday with you. lots of love, aidee llady
